Hampton Roads Garden Club

The ladies of the Hampton Roads Garden Club loved our evening at beautiful Union Square!  It was the perfect venue for a reception and a presentation by acclaimed floral designer Laura Dowling. The space offered everything we needed for a lively reception and plenty of comfortable seating for the floral presentation. Corinne was a delightful and gracious hostess and provided many helpful hints for efficient use of the space, while allowing us the freedom to set up the way we envisioned. The opportunity for the hostesses to linger after the event and sleep overnight in the super-comfy bedroom and sleeper sofas was icing on the cake! Many thanks for a delightful stay at Union Square! It was an evening we shall long remember.

Launch Event-

“We were thrilled to host the launch party for our new environmental advocacy organization at Union Square in Old Town. This lovingly renovated, and beautifully restored gem is such a departure from any other event space in the DC area – tucked into a cozy street in Old Town, full of historic charm, but unlike most historic settings, it offers expansive space in the former ballroom area to spread out. We had over 80 guests and there was plenty of room to walk around and mingle.

It was the perfect setting – elegant, but relaxed, with plenty of comfortable and intimate seating, a gorgeous big dining table for the hors d’oeuvres we served, and a sleek kitchen with counter that was the perfect bar.

There is a large screen television in the main area and we were able to hook our laptop up to it so we could project our website for our guests which was a nice touch since we had just launched the website and we wanted to show it off!

The best thing, really, is how much our guests loved the venue and how the space helped magnify the happiness and enthusiasm during our launch event. Having a party in a grand old home (hotel, really) added to the fun of the evening and sense that we had all been part of something very special.”
